Rosslyn Hub

Construction Has Commenced For More Information

YFPO Rosslyn Hub

Rosslyn Hub Development Company (RHDC) and Eris Property Group (Pty) Ltd (“Eris”) will jointly co-invest in a proposed new development on Extension 58 measuring 78,307.00m2, for the purpose of leasing it to Yanfeng Plastic Omnium Automotive Exterior Systems Co Ltd (“YFPO”). The site will be owned, developed and managed by Eris.

In 2024, BMW is planning on launching a new model in its Rosslyn plant and has therefore committed
itself to establishing a long term relationship in Rosslyn with one of their long standing overseas partner,
YFPO and intend on introducing them as a new supplier for painted plastic exterior components in South
Africa. The YFPO plant will be producing all of the painted plastic exterior components for BMW’s new
X3 model.

This is a key investment in the Tshwane Automotive City (TAC), which aims to position Tshwane as
Africa’s automotive manufacturing hub. The TAC project will support Nissan, BMW and Ford, who all
have large plants in Tshwane, along with UD Trucks, Tata Trucks and IVECO. South Africa is ideally placed
to manufacture cars for the African continent, which is expected to be the fastest growing continent in
terms of vehicle ownership per capita over the next few years. This investment reinforces this vision and
increases the amount of international automotive companies investing in the Tshwane Automotive City.
